Time to put your iPhones down, guys
Alright, guys, it's time to either stop filming maniacal, arm-wavingly-unwatchable videos at gigs or at least keep your arm still while you're filming. Seriously. Moshcam, however, reckon you should stop doing both, today revealing new plans to let punters download the company's professionally-filmed videos of all your favourite bands live.
Not only can you download and own videos of a gig you went to (or didn't go to) from $9.99, but you can also download the properly mastered audio file of the gig in in either WAV or MP3 format ($7.99) to chuck in your iTunes library.
It's a game-changer for artists, giving them an additional revenue stream, and it's a game-changer for music-lovers, who will now get to rest easy knowing they can fully enjoy a gig and watch it again later for a small fee.
Though they're still rolling it out to interested musicians, Moshcam's first offering is of metalcore act Buried In Verona's farewell tour. Their last hometown show was filmed at Sydney's Factory Theatre and is now available here to relive in full. The Delta Riggs will be offering video and audio of their live show early next year as well.
