Julia ZemiroChannel Seven's brand new singing show All Together Now has had a stellar start pulling in over 800,000 viewers on its debut last night.
Hosted by Rockwiz's Julia Zemiro, the show placed fourth with 813,000 in the Sunday free-to-air ratings, only behind The Block (1,139,000 viewers), Channel Seven News (942,000 viewers) and Channel Nine News (842,000).
The show has also ranked higher than Supercars biggest race event of the year, the Bathurst 1000, which drew in 745,000 viewers for its main race event, though the racing event did pull a greater number of viewers across their coverage throughout the day across the top 20 program slots (2,791,000 across five programs).
All Together Now beat Channel Ten's new show Game Of Games, which is hosted by Grant Denyer and radio personality Ash London. The show debuted in 11th position with 536,000 viewers.
All Together Now is the local version of an already-running BBC One series that sees contestants perform in front a panel of 100 singers, industry professionals and everyday punters, with their success judged by how many of the 100 are standing up and singing along with the contestant by the end of their song. At the end of the series, the prevailing contestant will win themselves $100,000.
"No journeys. No long stories. Just great singing. And judges? There are 100 judges! You heard right. They come from all walks of life and celebrate who we are," Zemiro told Mumbrella when she was announced as host back in April.
"I love a big sing. And there’s something quite fabulous about a whole group of people singing their hearts out. I can’t wait to run this fabulous singing show through its paces!"
