More Acts Added To WOMADelaide 2019

If you thought the first WOMADelaide 2019 artist announcement was big, just wait until you get your head around part two, with the festival today unveiling more 40 new acts from over 25 countries.

Featuring founding members of iconic ‘80s outfit The Gipsy Kings, French act The Original Gypsies lead the second announcement.

The group will also perform a headline show at Sydney's Enmore Theatre on 13 March to coincide with the festival appearance. 

Meanwhile African music legend and social activist Fatoumata Diawara has also been confirmed for WOMADelaide, alongside US singer-songwriter Liz Phair, Balkan clubbing pioneers Shantel & Bucovina Club Orkestar and more.

There’s also a slew of local talent on the second announcement, with Mojo Juju returning to the festival after three years with her new album, Native Tongue, joined by Thelma Plum, Thando and Timberwolf, just to name a few.
