Sydney avant-pop singer-songwriter spreads her wings with Clip My Wings

More Montaigne More Montaigne

Produced once again by Tony Buchan, who produced her debut album, Life Of Montaigne, released Nov 2014, and also cowritten with him, Clip My Wings is the new single for Sydney avant-pop artiste Montaigne, aka Jess Cerro.

A song about standing up for what you believe in, Montaigne and her band - keyboards player Neil Anderson, bass player Gus Gardener and drummer Miles Thomas - are touring the single through October and November, finishing up at South Australia's Gorgeous Festival in McLaren Vale.

Australia first met Montaigne in 2012 when she was a finalist in that year's triple j Unearthed High with the boppy indie pop tune, Anyone But Me. She spent the next couple of years developing her songwriting skills under the guidance of Michael Szumowski at Albert Music, and then with Buchan. For details, go to theGuide.
