Modular Poach Warp Staffer For London Office

Adam Brooks in charge of London office

Australian record label Modular have officially opened their London office, which will oversee their UK and European operations.

In April theMusic.com.au revealed that the company was “about to” open the London office, which will compliment existing international in New York and, to a lesser extent, Paris.

Warp Records' Adam Brooks has come on board to run the office.

Today Modular's founder Steve Pavlovic told theMusic.com.au, “We pride ourselves on our commitment to signing artists and releasing albums that resonate with international audiences. Modular's New York office played an integral part in establishing Cut Copy (who received a Grammy nomination on their last album) and Tame Impala (who've now sold over 120,000 in North America) internationally.

"Whilst we've been operating a satellite office in Europe for sometime appointing Adam is the next step of evolving the offering and resources to further develop our artists in the UK and Europe.”

Brooks added, “Following the recent global successes of Tame Impala and the label's inaugural FOR festival in Croatia, I look forward to further cementing the label's status across Europe as a home for outstanding and diverse artists and events.”

Modular's current roster includes Tame Impala, Cut Copy and Architecture In Helsinki, as well as The Avalanches, who the label recently said will have a new album. “The Avalanches are currently still in the studio, putting the finishing touches on the follow up to 2000's internationally acclaimed Since I Left You,” they assured.
