Australian treasure Missy Higgins has taken to Instagram to document a scary fall that occurred before the AWFL Grand Final over the weekend.

The pregnant singer posted an Insta story last night that detailed her soundcheck tumble which left her with a sprained ankle.

She kept in high spirits though, finishing up her post with a picture of her young son, Samuel, helping her through the ordeal.

The fall might have been warning signs for things to come as Higgins highly-anticipated performance was cancelled due to fears that the stage would damage the grounds following heavy rain.
