Midweek Chart Report: Missy Fighting It Out With Urban

But it looks like a teenager might beat them both to the top spot...

Missy Higgins and Keith Urban will fight it out for the highest charting local release of the ARIA Album charts this week, according to mid-week figures. Higgins' The Ol' Razzle Dazzle is looking for its third week at the top spot this week while Urban's The Story So Far, currently fourth, is receiving a boost from the season finale of The Voice, on which Urban is a judge.

While they're fighting it out for the top ranking Aussie, the top spot might be out of their reach this week given that Justin Bieber released an album last Friday - Believe. His album is tracking strongly already just as fellow teen-aged boyband One Direction's album Up All Night is. They look like holding onto a top five spot while Bieber may go straight to the top - unfortunate news for those hoping for another local number one.

The aforementioned finale of The Voice is already making its presence felt in the ARIA Singles chart, with the winner of the TV talent quest Karise Eden looking like she might be the one to break Flo Rida's seven-week hold on the top spot.

With each performance on the show being released as a track, Eden herself might have up to four tracks in the top 20 - something that Universal Music Australia, who're releasing all The Voice tracks, will be pleased about.

Inside word is that Universal are aiming for the entire top 20 with Voice contestant. We're hearing that they are on target for as many as 17. What is sure is that the top four finalists of The Voice will dominate the top ten.
