Middle Kids Scored A Song On Their 'Spirit Animal' Will Arnett's Netflix Show 'Flaked'

Sydney trio Middle Kids have been ones to watch this year, having slayed it on US late night TV on Conan, supported Ryan Adams on tour and at BIGSOUND last year. Now, they've found one of their tunes on an episode of Netflix show, Flaked.
The Will Arnett-starring (and executive-produced) show's second season, released just a week ago, features the band's killer first single, Edge Of Town, on an episode, with the band stating exclusively to The Music they were "excited" when that happened.
"Will Arnett is our spirit animal. Lithe, wise, wise-cracking, nice. We loved his work as the evil boyfriend in Hot Rod. We loved him as Gob Bluth.
"We obviously watched the first season of Flaked and were excited that Edge Of Town made it onto season two."

When asked how the opportunity came about, the band stayed tight-lipped. "I guess you could say that we had breakfast with a guy who knew a guy," they say cheekily.
Middle Kids sit among great company on the soundtrack, with Flaked season two also featuring tracks from Belle & Sebastian, Jimmy Buffett, Pavement and Foxygen.
