One of Germany's core celebrities in dance music, DJ, producer, remixer and co-founder of dance imprint, Kompakt Records, Michael Mayer is one very busy man.
When he's not travelling the globe DJing, he is working out what to release in any particular week, scouting for new artists, working with those signed to the label and overseeing the label's distribution wing, which looks after more than 50 labels. Somewhere in the he also manages to create anbd produce his own records as well as mix for artists as diverse as Depeche Mode, Foals and Rufus Wainwright.
