As reported by AdelaideNow.com, ticket scalpers have hijacked Adelaide’s upcoming Metallica show by reselling tickets purchased during the tour’s exclusive pre-sale period back to desperate fans for more than twice the retail price.
Metallica’s scheduled show at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on November 15 has already sold its full allocation of pre-sale tickets following an exclusive Visa Entertainment pre-sale on Ticketek.com that began last Friday.
Now scalpers are turning to eBay to jack up the price of the tickets, in breach of Ticketek’s sale conditions.
Tickets originally sold via Ticketek for $150 are beginning to soar on eBay with two Gold reserved seats already going for $699.
The remaining tickets are available through Ticketek from 9am on Thursday.
