MetallicaAn exclusive performance by Metallica is set to air on TV screens around the country this Friday night.
To promote the release of their S&M2 live album out this week, the metal icons will exclusively perform the classic track, Enter Sandman, for the Nine network which will air at the conclusion of the Sydney Roosters vs Brisbane Broncos NRL match.
The news comes almost one year after Metallica called off a stadium tour of Australia due to frontman James Hetfield entering a treatment facility.
Drummer Lars Ulrich said late last year that he hoped the band could return to the country this year, however the COVID pandemic has halted international tours.
The Roosters vs Broncos game kicks off this Friday night on Nine from 7.55pm.
