Metallica announce new live DVD

Metallica will release a new DVD on December 10 featuring live footage captured during two shows in Quebec in 2009.

Entitled Quebec Magnetic, the setlist for the DVD was determined by over 35,000 fans voting for their favourite songs at Metallica.com this past September.

According to the band, the DVD will be released in two formats – double DVD and single disc Blu-ray – and will be available at a very “Metallica fan friendly” price.

“There are still some "i's" being dotted and "t's" crossed, so we can't give you a name or fancy logo just yet, but we're pretty excited that for the first time we get to hold all the reins on a release from start to finish,” comments the band.

Metallica headline Soundwave next year.
