Experts discuss factors of successful music scene

The Inaugural Melbourne Music Symposium will bring together local and international experts for a discussion of one of the community's most prosperous attributes.

Praising Melbourne's live music scene as one of the city's thriving elements, a board consisting of industry professionals will examine the success in nurturing an urban musical environment and sustaining it for the future. Guest speakers will include Amy Terrill, Professor Robert Kronenburg, James Black and Rohan Leppert, focusing on key themes in comparison to similar music cities around the world.

The Symposium will be held at the Melbourne Town Hall on 12 November as a precursor to Melbourne Music Week.
