More Posseshot More Posseshot

Melbourne rap outfit Posseshot have been steadily making waves with their music, especially with their track Hardcore, which was released last August.

With a string of albums under their belts, the duo of KHA and Muscles is set to release their fourth album, Operation Burner Rap, next month. But things could have gone very differently, as they used fire to create a menacing-looking album cover.

Last Monday (29 July), Posseshot shared the album cover and 17-song tracklist, revealing that their forthcoming LP will be released on Friday, 27 September. Days later (1 August), the group showcased their merchandise and shared that their new album will be available to pre-order and pre-save digitally, as well as on CD and vinyl.

On Sunday (4 August), the duo shared a new video on Instagram where they revealed that they almost burnt down a studio during their album cover photoshoot. Luckily, firefighters arrived and put the fire out.

“EXCLUSIVE BTS VIDEO: PS4 album cover shoot where we almost burnt down tha studio,” the duo wrote in the caption. “OPERATION BURNER RAP pre-orders runnin hot on the website! More music otw”.

In June, Posseshot were “rapping words and flipping birds” at Melbourne’s RISING Festival. They starred on the Day Tripper program, the event’s “within-a-festival” series that took over venues such as Melbourne Town Hall, Capitol Theatre, and Max Watt’s.

Posseshot were on the bill of performers to showcase music at Melbourne Town Hall alongside Polito, Surprise Chef, Alastair Galbraith, Richard Youngs, Sarah Mary Chadwick, Welsh performers The Tubs in town for the first time, WET KISS, and Scott & Charlene’s Wedding.

Last year, Posseshot appeared on the Yours & Owls bill with Aussie legends, including Full Flower Moon Band, Big Wett, Phoebe Go, These New South Whales, Towns, Dust, Gut Health, and more.
