Melbourne Indie Rockers Divers Sign To Domestic La La

"I knew they needed to be on Domestic La La as soon as I saw the blank cassette sitting on top of the t-shirt."

Melb-based pysch rock quartet Divers have been announced as the newest additions to Aus indie label Domestic La La.

The band will join the ranks alongside the likes of West Thebarton and Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers - as well as signing on to the booking side of Destroy All Lines.

The band were overjoyed to be welcomed to the label - owned and operated by Violent Soho guitarist James Tidswell - especially considering the offer came (according to them) completely unexpectedly.

“James hit us up out of the blue and bought some merch, it was really surreal for us as we’re huge fans," they explained. "We ended up sending him a cassette of our next single – not even as a plug or anything, just as a gift and a thank you – because he really genuinely loves and supports local music."

Tidswell reciprocated the love, saying, "I heard Divers on our Tuna Tuesday playlist and loved them instantly. I immediately bought a t-shirt to show my support and they included a demo cassette tape in the order. I listened to it over and over but to be honest I knew they needed to be on Domestic La La as soon as I saw the blank cassette sitting on top of the t-shirt. I am so incredibly stoked to have them on and as part of the Domestic La La family."

The group have celebrated with the release of their first new music with the label, along with a brand new video. It leads the news of a brand new EP Now I'm Home, which is out now.
