A new name ushers in a new chapter for the label formerly known as Black Night Crash Records

Melburnian independent record label Black Night Crash Records — with which you might be familiar via releases from acts such as Bo Ningen, Die! Die! Die! and Sincerely Grizzly — is ushering in a new chapter by killing itself off, in a sense, relaunching under new moniker Bad Health and singing local garage upstarts Oscar Galt & The Eventual Somethings in the process.

With a mission statement that includes "releasing and distributing a select range of both international and local releases, with a specific focus on building and developing local talent", it's nice to see the freshly minted Bad Health already walking the talk, with Oscar Galt & The Eventual Somethings set to release their forthcoming EP, Play Things, through the label on 5 November.

The band will be extra-celebrating the signing and EP itself with a launch show at The Workers Club on 29 November. In addition, Bad Health also has further cause for revelry — they'll be releasing a brand new EP from NZ noise-punk heroes Die! Die! Die! in January next year, to be supported by an Aussie tour in its wake. Hell. Yes.
