Having supported Adam Lambert on a national tour earlier this year, New York bubblegum alt-pop artist Melanie Martinez has announced she'll be bringing her acclaimed Cry Baby tour to Australia this August.

Having sold out shows around the US and wowed crowds at festivals like Lollapalooza and Panorama, there's more to Martinez than the cutesy exterior she puts on — her debut album Cry Baby touches on Southern hip hop, R&B, pop and thick, low bass beats, already earning her an army of worldwide fans in her short career.

Martinez will be bringing her kaleidoscopic live show to Sydney's Big Top on 14 August, before hitting up Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth until 19 August.
