"In light of current global events..."

After US indie-rock band Frankie Cosmos announced they were pulling out of the 2020 Meadow Festival, event organisers have today confirmed two new artists to the bill.

Melbourne pop singer-songwriter Olympia and New Zealand electro producer Vanessa Worm will now fill the shoes of the New York group, who recently released a statement apologising for their sudden cancellation.

"We’ve been dreaming of returning to Australia and New Zealand since our wonderful tour there in 2017. But in light of current global events, we’ve decided to postpone our upcoming shows there for a future time,” the band shared.

“To say that we’re bummed out is an enormous understatement. We’re gonna try our best to come back as soon as possible!

"We love Australia and New Zealand so much. We hope you love us back, still.”

Festival organisers also confirmed the event would go ahead despite COVID-19 fears.

“We want to assure you that we are currently implementing the recommended extra safety measures and additional facilities in order to consider the general health and safety of patrons, artists and staff at the event," they shared.

"Meadow will be supplying additional hand sanitisation facilities at our toilets and throughout the festival site among other measures. Thank you for your continued support. We can’t wait to see you in Bambra in just over two weeks time.”
