"You never know what star-studded lineup you will get at a Gimmes show, but you know it will not disappoint - so be ready to see our Seppo faces again!"
Me First and the Gimme Gimmes will tour Australia and New Zealand in 2023.
The all-star skate punk cover act have announced the Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again? tour which will see them play 12 shows in venues ranging from Uni Bar in Wollongong to a cruise boat in Sydney Harbour.
The beloved outfit features Joey Cape (Lagwagon) on guitar, Chris Shiflett (Foo Fighters) on lead guitar, Dave Raun (Lagwagon) on the drums, Fat Mike on bass/Fat Mike duties and singer Spike Slawson. They've been described as being akin to a "beer-hall Pussycat Dolls".
In keeping with this comparison, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes will be making some slight line-up adjustments for this run, with John Reis of Rocket From The Crypt, CJ Ramone of The Ramones and Mike Pinch of The Damned subbing in for Shifflet, Raun and Fat Mike, who all have other commitments.
Speaking on the upcoming tour the band remarked "You never know what star-studded lineup you will get at a Gimmes show, but you know it will not disappoint - so be ready to see our Seppo faces again!"
With seven albums, a live record and a collection of singles to their name, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes have a repoitoire that includes everything from country to to J-Pop to showtunes and beyond.
