Mayfair Kytes Announce Debut Album & New Single 'Sleepyhead'

Active sleepers.

Melbourne four-piece Mayfair Kytes have announced the release of their debut album Animus alongside quirky and otherworldly single, Sleepyhead.

The album - coming out 1 Apr (18 Mar for Sleepyhead) - will be launched at The Workers Club before the band heads north to The Vanguard for a Sydney launch.

It was recorded in just over a year with Nick Herrera in Melbourne's inner north, and features performances from string players from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, as well as extra synths and production contributed by Simon Mavin and Paul Bender of Hiatus Kaiyote.

The single also comes with a clip storyboarded, hand-animated, filmed and directed by Melbourne-based artist, Thomas Russell.
