Reports have emerged that folk troubadour Matt Corby cancelled last night's sold out show minutes before being due on stage.

The second of three sold out shows at Sydney's Enmore Theatre in support of his debut record Telluric, Corby's manager was the one who broke the news to the packed room after his support act Vera Blue had played. Corby had taken ill.

A statement on Facebook apologised for the cancellation, stating "Matt was incredibly disappointed to have to cancel his performance at the Enmore Theatre tonight. He's fallen ill, and despite his very best efforts, was unable to perform."

The show has been rescheduled to May 4, with refunds offered to those who aren't able to attend. The fate of tonight's sold out show is still up in the air.

A number of punters took to Twitter to air their thoughts on the last minute cancellation.
