Mardi Gras Film Festival 2016 Full Program Released

A varied and exciting collection of films.

The full program for Queer Screen's summer celebration, Mardi Gras Film Festival, has just been released.

Highlights among the stunner of a program include sexy coming-of-age film Jess & James; Front Cover, which follows the relationship between a gay Chinese-American who has distanced himself from his heritage and a closeted Chinese actor; Downriver, an Aussie film that explores a childhood murder, justice, and young, gay love; Spanish lesbian comedy-of-errors Girl Gets Girl; Tchindas, which follows three queer artists preparing for a spectacular Carnival on a Cape Verde island, as led by revered transgender cook, teacher and community organiser Tchinda Andrade; and many more.

The film festival starts Thursday 18 February and runs until Thursday 3 March at Event Cinemas George Street and various other venues.
