6 July 2017 | 8:56 am | Staff Writer

Police are calling for witnesses.

A 26-year-old male has lost vision in his right eye following a coward punch attack in a Melbourne nightclub this past May.

As Herald Sun reports, the man was attacked by three men following an argument at a nightclub on Phoenix Street in Brunswick, where he was punched in the head and repeatedly hit once he fell to the ground.

The three attackers fled from the venue before police arrived.

A statement released by Victoria police says that the attack resulted in the victim losing sight in his right eye, as well as having to undergo two operations.

The victim has also not been able to work since the assault on 26 May.

Police are now calling on any witnesses of the attack and have released CCTV footage of two men they believe can assist with the investigation.

"One of the men is described as being aged in his early 20s, with long dark hair pulled back into a pony tail and a moustache," the statement reads.

"Another man is described as being aged in his early 20s with shoulder-length dark curly hair."
