Huge news for Melbourne!
Malthouse Theatre is expanding to an include a new outdoor stage for a series of COVID-Safe events this summer.
The much-loved Melbourne venue has announced a run of music and comedy events to kick off in January.
Promoters Penny Drop (whose Emily York landed on The Power 50 list earlier this year) will put on shows a night across 10 days, with performances from Kaiit, RVG, Gordon Koang, Mildlife, HTRK, Sweet Whirl, Sarah Mary Chadwick, Good Morning, Emma Donovan & The Putbacks, and Surprise Chef in the new purpose built amphitheatre.
Additionally, comedy shows from Lano & Woodley, Judith Lucy & Denise Scott, Anne Edmonds, and Eddie Perfect have all been locked in for throughout January.
The Malthouse Outdoor Stage will also play home to discussion events from The Wheeler Centre and The Saturday Paper, as well as workshops from Chunky Move and Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA).
