Veteran music industry figure to handle operations Down Under.

US syncing company Jingle Punks has opened an Australian office this week and announced the appointment of veteran music industry figure, Janine Kerr.

With offices already established in New York, LA, Nashville, Toronto and Brazil, Jingle Punks has a client roster of over 1000 TV shows, including The Voice, that they work with to match with brands to create original music and experiential projects.

Based in Melbourne, Kerr will be responsible for expanding the full-service music company’s footprint in Australia and offering custom services for TV, film and the advertising industry.

Kerr most recently served as the Vice President of Fox Sports Music in LA and was instrumental in championing a number of deals, including the recent collaboration with US rapper Lil Wayne for sports program, Skip & Shannon: Undisputed.

"Our goal is to build a physical presence on the ground in Australia and ultimately grow into a fully-fledged creative studio," Jingle Punks co-founder, CCO and President, Jared Gutstadt said.

"Janine is highly regarded both in the U.S. and Australia for her in-depth knowledge of music at all levels, and I’m stoked to bring an innovative partner on board that will complement our efforts in raising the bar when it comes to branded music."

The appointment of Kerr and the Australian office is a sure indication that the company is continuing to explore and expand its roster with local artists for new works.

Kerr said of the new role, "I've been very impressed by the agency’s disruptive model and unique culture while working with the team across all aspects of music within the entertainment industry.

"I look forward to returning to my homeland and helping the agency build its presence amongst the Australian music scene."
