Having just dropped their latest effort This Unruly Mess I've Made, thrift shop hunters Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have announced they'll be heading to Australia this year for a huge national tour.

Taking in five cities Australia-wide, the August tour will allow the duo to showcase the best of their sophomore record, including their first single Downtown, as well as tracks like Kevin, featuring soul maestro Leon Bridges.

Three years since their debut album The Heist, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will head first to Brisbane's Entertainment Centre on 2 August, Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on 5 August, Sydney's Allphones Arena on 6 August, Adelaide Entertainment Centre on 9 August and Perth Arena on 11 August.

Blue Mountains hip hop trio Thundamentals will be along for the ride, too.
