Luude Samples Moby Classic In New Single, 'Oh My'

With the majority of commercially successful songs over the past year sampling old records, Oh My is well and truly on trend.

Fresh off the back of winning the ARIA Award for Best Dance Release with his smash hit Down Under feat Colin Hay, Luude has served up another potential hit alongside UK vocalist Issey Cross, Oh My feat. Moby.

Luude follows the same formula as Down Under, sampling Moby's classic Porcelain strings and adding a whole heap of drum and bass spice to it. With the majority of commercially successful songs over the past year sampling old records, Oh My is well and truly on trend which might prove to be another masterstroke from Luude.

Speaking to the record, Luude shares, “When Moby sent me the stems to this I honestly couldn’t believe it, it’s such an iconic record and sample - I really didn’t want to do much to it, the drums just sit on it nicely to give it a fresh take for new dancefloors.”

The track has also received approval and praise from Moby himself, stating, "I'd love to say something smart or insightful about ‘Oh My,' but honestly when I first heard it I simply thought, 'fuck, this is great!’”

Luude's past 12 months have been huge, with his rework of 80s anthem Down Under becoming one of the biggest dance tracks in the world. He then went on to sample Big City Life from Mattafix and has since performed sold out shows across Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the UK.
