And you can win tons of prizes

For the first time, the Australian Music Industry Network, Live Music Office and St Kilda Film Festival have banded together to launch the inaugural I Love Live Music competition, a competition open to filmmakers and musicians who love live music and are keen to make a video about it.

To explore and focus on the importance of live music in Australia, the competition asks that filmmakers create a 60-second video featuring local hometown musicians in any genre or style, with at least one of the following themes: 'Imagine life without live Australian music', 'What I love about live Australian music' or 'What live Australian music means to me'.

St Kilda Film Festival's Director Paul Harris says, "The marriage of filmmakers and musicians is an important development in the evolution of both art forms. The St Kilda Film Festival’s SoundKILDA event on 26 May 2016 is the perfect platform to screen the ten finalists, alongside a stellar program of international and national music video clips."

The national awareness campaign will award prizes to ten finalists and one winner, with cash prizes, Sensaphonics earplugs, Allans Billy Hyde vouchers and much more to be won.
