Louis Theroux Wins 2022 As Official ‘Jiggle Jiggle’ Music Video Drops

"Jason Derulo is really the king of surfing on the trend waves."

Just when we thought the viral wave of Louis Theroux's masterpiece Jiggle Jiggle couldn't get any bigger, Theroux has added more fuel to the fire with a creative remix and endearing music video that features Amelia Dimz and Jason Derulo.

Despite becoming a viral sensation this year, the original rap was actually created in 2000, from a BBC Two series that Theroux was hosting titled Weird Weekends. It was here that he met a number of North American rappers and the Jiggle Jiggle rap was born. However, it wasn't until Theroux was a guest on Dimz beloved show, Chicken Shop Date, in early 2022 that the rap gained popularity.

From there, producers Duke & Jones got their hands on it and turned it into the mass viral hit that we all know and love today. Over the span of a year, it's amassed over 70 million streams and has been used by thousands of celebrities all over TikTok.

Now, the two collaborators, Theroux and Dimz, have released a remix and new music video, enlisting the help of Jason Derulo to really carry it home.

Derulo adds in two spectacular verses and gives the song some new energy. Exactly how Derulo was added into the mix is anyone's guess but one commenter has the right idea saying, "Jason Derulo is really the king of surfing on the trend waves." Either way, Derulo was a surprising but welcome addition to the remix and gave the song a 'full circle' moment in terms of virality.

As expected, the video carries that same jovial tone of the song, coming from the brilliant mind of Amelia Dimz.

It starts with both Theroux and Dimz in a chicken shop, drinking red wine with their fellow chicken shop dinners. As the song carries on, it follows them in a feat to another chicken shop drive-through where they order "500 nuggets".

Derulo also makes some appearances while he sings his verses and Brooke and Jess - who both started the viral dance trend around the song - are also featured. The video, as well as the new remix, is a fun fresh take on the already massive hit, and provides a perfect closing chapter to such an unexpected viral sensation.
