Lost Lands Attendees Have Created A Series Of Girls-Only Mosh Pits At This Year’s Event

The 7th annual Lost Lands Festival has a Femininomenon on their hands, with the addition of girls-only mosh pits. 

Organised by the progressive raver clothing brand Wub Witch, a series of raves are taking place over the weekend where those who are female-presenting can meet some new friends and have a supportive mosh circle (elbows to the head excluded). 

With the brand’s mantra largely based around feminism within the raver community, Wub Witch has been making their exclusive “Girls Only Mosh Pit” T-shirts into a cultural phenomenon; US ravers have been seen wearing the slogan across several popular festivals. 

The first girls-only mosh took place on Thursday, where several partygoers raved at VAMPA’s sunset slot at The Crater stage.

Under the large pink and black “Girls Pit” banner, several ladies ran in a circle and threw shapes with supportive onlookers chanting along. 

The Girls-Only Mosh Pit (affectionately called GOMP) went on into the neon-lit night, including an impromptu silent disco with vibrant headphones. 

Reacting to the unexpected virality of the GOMP meet-ups, facilitators Maddie Rose, Karina La Reina, and Aja shared gratitude over socials: “Shoutout to all the men who are being super kind and supportive.”

For those that missed the Thursday mosh, never to fear: Wub Witch is hosting a second Girls-only mosh on Saturday 21st September. This second mosh will take place at The Prehistoric Stage (main stage) at 4 pm, kicking off DJ Emorfik’s sunset slot. The DJ took to X (Twitter) to state that he would be preparing some tracks specifically for the GOMP.

Lost Lands takes place in Legend Valley, Ohio from September 18th-22nd. Tickets are still available for the weekend at the Lost Lands website.
