Nashville instrumental surf rock maestros Los Straitjackets have announced they will be in Australia for a series of shows across the country this March, taking in dates in a number of capital cities.

The band initially formed in 1988 but split rather quickly, only to reform in the mid-1990s. Featuring some of America's truly great rockabilly artists, the band are a musically stunning group, though there is no danger of them taking themselves too seriously; the masked members often convering songs that one wouldn't usually expect, such as this Celine Dion song performed of the Conan O'Brien show many years ago.

With 13 studio albums to their name, the band have plenty of material to work with on these shows and given the fact the band have mentioned their touring will be limited from here on in, the chance to see them in our country is a very exciting one.
