New Zealand rising star Lorde has been drafted in by Splendour In The Grass to replace Frank Ocean after the US R&B star pulled cancelled his Australian shows yesterday.

Teenager Lorde, who is featuring on the Australian and UK chart with her The Love Club EP currently, will perform on Sunday at 5.30pm, with all the other acts booked onto the Supertop pushed back a slot. With just the EP under her belt, the hotly-tipped artist has enough material for about a half-an-hour set, as evident in her recent intimate Sydney and Melbourne shows, which sold out within minutes.

As a result, Of Monsters & Men will now take the Sunday headlining slot.

Frank Ocean's cancellation was announced after it emerged that he was ill at his first Melbourne sideshow, which is the only show he has played on Australian soil, after previously pulling out of the Future Music Festival last year.
