"Lord have nailed it."
Darren Hayes has given the thumbs up to a heavy metal cover of one of Savage Garden's biggest tracks.
The Sydney/Wollongong outfit's take on 1996 classic, To The Moon & Back, was only released last week, but Hayes was quick to praise the cover.
"OK - this is fucking great haha," Hayes tweeted on Sunday.
"There exists a corner of the internet where heavy metal and believe it or not 'Savage Garden' fans intersect, and rock band Lord have nailed it."
Following its release, To The Moon & Back became Savage Garden's first #1 single in Australia and went on to win the 1997 ARIA for Song Of The Year.
