Fresh Finds: Class Of 2025 – Aussie Acts To Add To Your Playlist

Lonelyspeck, Hearteyes and Cookii Combine For Supergroup Single, 'METAL FLAKE'

The forward thinking partnership again lands with perfection and is defined by a melting pot of hard-hitting abrasive sounds from a range of genres.

Underground club, pop and metal fusion legends cookii, Lonelyspeck and Hearteyes have combined once again to deliver another smashing new single, METAL FLAKE alongside the track's music video which is directed by Charles Buxton Leslie.

The track acts as the second release from the supergroup, following on perfectly from their abrasive yet inviting debut single WEIRDO. It lands on record label COALESCEan organisation which aims to showcase and champion local creatives challenging the status-quo of pop, rock, metal, hardcore and electronic music.

The forward thinking partnership again lands with perfection and is defined by a melting pot of hard-hitting abrasive sounds from a range of genres. The track stuns with its distorted electronic percussion line, which combines perfectly with the dreamy vocals of all the acts before erupting into guitar driven chaos and a hook chanted by Hearteyes.

All three of the artists meet in top tip form in their careers. Adelaide based singer, songwriter and visual artist Lonelyspeck has become renowned for their eclectic sonic palette, creating a world of hyperreal senses brought to life by texture and space.

Hearteyes has had a long history of traversing the Australian underground music space from hardcore bands to producing hard style. He recently released his highly anticipated Headbangers 2 project, which saw the artist push the boundaries of what is considered appropriate in the sphere of artistry.

cookii are equally as infectious, breaking onto the scene with their bright and futuristic pop sounds. They've released two mixtapes since then, titled blossom at the end of 2020 and popstyle this year.
