The 22-year-old sibling pairing has just finished up a tour with Sheppard
Emergent Lismore sibling duo No Frills Twins have announced their signing with Island Records/Universal Music Australia, hot on the heels of a tour supporting ARIA-winning pop troupe Sheppard.
The two-piece — which comprises, yes, actual twins Vanessa and Arna Rogers — have freshly released the video for their new track Love Me Tender, which they shot around their hometown (as they have with every clip they've made so far) with the assistance of director Chuong Vo (Tigerlily).
"All our music videos to date have been shot here, and we take pride in showcasing the beautiful place we've grown up in," the sisters said in a statement.
The girls got their start uploading covers to YouTube, breaking through in 2012 with their take on Safe & Sound by Taylor Swift (ft The Civil Wars), as well as a do-over of Iggy Azalea's Fancy. They've since worked with the Madden brothers, toured with The Veronicas and even gotten the nod of approval from Boy George, who took a shine to their distinct look and self-made costumes.

"Our fashion got bolder and louder because of feeling invisible at school," Arna said. "We experienced passive bullying and exclusion at school which really affected our self-esteem and confidence.
"It was a hurtful contrast — online we were idolised and received a tonne of love and support but at school we didn't feel acknowledged for our music, talent or even as existing human beings, so we found strength through fashion. Being loud and confident with our fashion was an empowering way of rebelling, sort of like a big ‘stuff you’. It felt really good."
With the new deal under their belt and a momentum buoyed by their almost 400,000 fans on Facebook (not to mention more than 8 million YouTube views), that feeling's not likely to go anywhere any time soon, we'd wager.
