Lisa Mitchell has been announced as the next artist to take part in the Heavenly Sounds series on concerts to take place in churches around the nation.

More Lisa Mitchell More Lisa Mitchell

If you made it along to one of the first Heavenly Sounds shows featuring Seeker Lover Keeper towards the end of last year then you'll know just how majestic these shows were and we're excited to announce this week that it doesn't end there. The organisers have decided to stay with the concept and have announced that Lisa Mitchell will be the next artist to be a part of it. The concept for the shows is rather simple, but very different. Each performance around the country takes place in a church rather than a typical music venue, the general aesthetic and rich acoustics adding a whole new element to the artist's performance. It will certainly work for Mitchell and her brand of pop, and it certainly doesn't hurt that her brand new single goes by the name of Spiritus. Hopefully she'll have plenty of new material to show us, as well as all the great songs from the AMP winning Wonder when she plays Christ Church Cathedral, Newcastle Monday 4 June, Sydney's St Stephen's Uniting Church Thursday 7, St John's Cathedral in the Brisbane CBD Friday 8, St Michael's Church in Melbourne Wednesday 13, Flinders Street Baptist Church Thursday 14 and wraps it up at St Joseph's Church, Subiaco Friday 15. All dates feature support from folk-pop ensemble Georgia Fair and tickets for each show are available through Ticketek right now for $52.50 + bf.
