Lisa Mitchell Announces National Tour Ahead Of Third Album

Off the back of a support slot with rockers Grouplove last week, folk singer/songwriter Lisa Mitchell has unveiled a national tour of her own in support of her third record, Warriors.

Recorded by Eric J (Chet Faker, The Rubens), Warriors will be a bit of a walk away from Mitchell's previous guitar/piano-driven work. With retro dance pop influences, Mitchell's first single from the album, The Boys, is a taste of what to expect from her new offering.

Mitchell said of the album, "I was interested in someone doing a different thing than what I’d done in the past. That felt refreshing."

The singer will embark on her Something About These Streets national tour on 14 October, starting in Melbourne before making the rounds to Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Adelaide.

Warriors is due for release via Warner on 14 October.
