In January, Lisa Marie Presley – daughter of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley – passed away at the age of 54. She died of complications from a small bowel obstruction, TMZ reported based on the LA County Coroner’s Office report.
At 4 pm PT (9 am AEST today), the toxicology report findings were released, which found “therapeutic levels of Oxycodone” in Presley’s blood. Another opioid, Buprenorphine, was found in her blood, which typically treats opioid overuse.
The toxicology report also found traces of Quetiapine, an antipsychotic drug. The small bowel obstruction was caused by adhesions that appeared following Presley’s previous gastric bypass surgery. No drugs were found in her home when she was initially rushed to the hospital, and her urine toxicology screen was negative.
