More Linkin Park More Linkin Park

Linkin Park have released the highly anticipated unreleased song, Lost, and announced the spectacular Meteora 20th Anniversary Edition, due for release on Friday, 7 April.

The iconic nu-metal band are celebrating 20 years of their seminal second record by sharing a Limited Edition Super Deluxe Box Set, Deluxe Vinyl Box Set, Deluxe 3-CD, and Digital Download. Pre-orders are available here.

An early highlight of the epic collection came from the band digging through the archives in the form of a complete and mixed, yet forgotten, song from the Meteora era, appropriately entitled Lost.

"Finding this track was like finding a favorite [sic] photo you had forgotten you’d taken, like it was waiting for the right moment to reveal itself," primary songwriter, rapper, producer and rhythm guitarist Mike Shinoda commented about the track.

"For years, fans have been asking us to release something with Chester’s voice, and I’m thrilled we’ve been able to make that happen in such a special way. I think they’re going to be floored when they hear and see all the incredible unreleased songs and video footage in METEORA|20."

Lost is anthemic and cathartic, thanks to Chester Bennington’s simultaneously vulnerable and soaring vocals.

The Meteora 20th Anniversary Edition announcement arrives after the band recently began teasing the 20th anniversary of Meteora

On 28 January, Linkin Park updated their profile picture on social media accounts to the vintage spray paint man logo - a logo that featured on all of the band's 2003 merchandise and the Meteora album cover.

Let's not forget how huge Meteora actually was at the time: it debuted at #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart and #1 on the ARIA Heavy Rock & Metal Albums Chart. Meteora was huge worldwide; it's sold over 16 million records, making it the 8th best-selling album of the 21st century behind superstars like Adele, Eminem, Coldplay and Evanescence, but above Green Day, Bruno Mars and P!nk. Meteora features the massive singles, Numb, Faint, Somewhere I Belong, From The Inside and Breaking The Habit.
