Lil Wayne fans who attended the final date of his Welcome To Tha Carter Tour were left reeling over the weekend after the rapper canned his show mid-performance.

Performing at Wiltern in Los Angeles on Saturday, Weezy launched kicked off the show an hour late.

After playing for about 30 minutes, the rapper left the stage so that members of his Young Money label, including Lil Twist, Yaj Kader, and Allan Cubas could perform.

After seeing the crowd's lacklustre reaction to the Young Money musos, Lil Wayne launched into a bizarre rant mid-set during which he complained that the crowd was disrespecting his fellow performers.

“We appreciate it, but we ain’t about to be bending over backwards for these folks. We work too hard for this shit. We work way too hard,” Lil Wayne told Cubas before addressing the audience.

“This my muthaf**kin’ artist Allan, that was Twist, that was Yaj; we are Young Money. We appreciate y’all time,” he said. Wayne then signalled to his crew to leave after putting down his mic before abruptly exiting the stage.

Fans were understandably left confused as they waited for Weezy to return to the stage, only for the lights to come up as people were instructed to leave the venue.

Concertgoers quickly took to social media to air their grievances over the show.

“I’ll never look at Lil Wayne the same after tonight," one fan shared on Twitter. "He really cancelled his concert mid-show bc the audience (I am the audience) sat down while he took a smoke and piss break. Refunds are in order.”

Another added, "Soooooo @wiltern @Ticketmaster @LilTunechi are we getting a reimbursement or make up show after that lil Wayne concert last night because we all need our money back or something because we paid for a full show not 45 mins."
