Lil Uzi Vert quietly changed their pronouns over the weekend, changing the pronoun spot in their Instagram bio to they/them.

Uzi has long been an advocate for gender expression, with their style a key pillar of their public image. They'll often sport unisex clothing, including the iconic pink dress which went viral a few years back. They also wore rainbow Nike T-shirt with matching sneakers during pride, and is not afraid to talk on LGBTQI+ issues.

Uzi recently announced their forthcoming EP Red & White, which might act as the precursor to their highly anticipated forthcoming album The Pink Tape. The record has been teased for two years now, following sophomore record Eternal Atake, which released in March of 2020. "Red & White Ep …. Before The P!NK 🔴⚪️=👩🏽‍🎤 🦇" they posted on Instagram, announcing the project.

They've just released a new single, Vent, which is expected to land on the EP. Sitting exclusively on Soundcloud, the single has the same artwork as the EP, Red & White.

Uzi recently made headphones for accidentally injuring a fan after throwing a phone into the crowd at Wireless Festival in the UK. The phone was thrown on stage, before Uzi lobbed it back in the crowd.

The phone hit an unidentified fan in the head, leaving her with a bloody gash. Many fans at the festival commented that many fans were throwing cellphones onto the stage that were inadvertently striking them and that they were simply trying to clear the phones from the stage to avoid slipping.
