Light Up Leederville Carnival Returns To Perth In December

Also calling out for artists and stallholders

Light Up Leederville Carnival returns for its fourth year running this December.

The free, all-ages street festival will take over the Leederville town centre on Sunday 6 December from midday to 9pm. Like years gone by, both Oxford and Newcastle streets will be closed off and filled with food stalls, live art, music, bars, rides and, of course, the traditional 'lighting up' ceremony as night falls.

Applications are currently open for artists and stallholders - bands and performers are encouraged to send a bio and links to work to [email protected], while stallholders should head to facebook.com/LightUpLeedervilleCarnival to fill out an Expression Of Interest form.

The event has grown from 24,000 attendees in 2012, its inaugural year, to 80,000 people in 2014.
