American singer-songwriter and record producer Leon Bridges is returning to Australia in early 2027, announcing a huge run of tour dates today.

On his seventh visit to Australia, Bridges will stop at some of the country’s most exquisite outdoor venues. The tour begins at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt on Friday, 26 February.

It continues at Brisbane’s On The Banks series, held at the Cultural Forecourt QPAC on Sunday, 28 February, Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre on Wednesday, 3 March, WOMADelaide Festival on Friday, 5 March, and concludes at Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens on Saturday, 6 March.

Pre-sale tickets will be available from Wednesday, 23 September, at 9 am local time, followed by the general sale on Thursday, 24 September, at 9 am local time. Head to the Frontier Touring website for more details.

Frontier Members can access pre-sale tickets for all shows except WOMADelaide Festival – visit the WOMADelaide website for more information.

Special guest 54 Ultra, hailing from New Jersey, will join Bridges on his headline dates in Sydney, Brisbane, Fremantle and Melbourne. In Melbourne, Australian funk outfit Surprise Chef join the bill.

“I’m always excited to get back to Australia,” Bridges said. “I’ve had some really special moments there over the years, and I’m looking forward to returning and sharing this party with everyone.”

The third and final instalment of Bridges’ highly anticipated fifth album, Happiness Anytime, will be released next Friday (25 September). Combining the sonic warmth of his 2015 debut, Coming Home, with the adventures of his Khruangbin collaborations, parts one and two opened the door for sun-soaked sounds.

Happiness Anytime was produced by Jungle’s J Lloyd-Watson and Lydia Kitto and has a clear focus on movement, groove, and joy. Bridges explained, “For me, happiness is not a feeling that you chase. I want this album to be something that lingers with people and lingers in people’s bones.”

The album is unmistakably Leon Bridges, featuring his singular voice, effortless charisma, and melodic instincts. It’s a record for long days and warm nights, becoming the album of the summer.
