Norway cover artsit Leo Moracchioli, takes on hip hop by covering House Of Pain's hit, 'Jump Around'
A few days ago, Our Last Night told us what songs should never, ever be covered. Now, I’m not sure who gave them the authority to decide what songs we should cover, but hey, whatever.
Norwegian musician and Frog leap Studio owner, Leo Moracchioli, obviously didn’t pay attention and certainly didn’t give a fuck when choosing which song to cover next. Known for his great metal interpretations, and the great video clips that follow, he's seen some huge grown in popularity over the last 12 months. From Adele to System Of A Down, he isn’t afraid to put a personal spin on a song by either ramping his renditions up or slowing them right down and presenting an acoustic twist on things. But when I heard his cover of House of Pain’s 'Jump Around', I wouldn’t have imagined how great it could sound.
Some songs should never be covered, or transposed into alternative genres, but by god were Our Last Night wrong with this one. Thank you, Moracchioli, for either being ignorant on another band saying not to cover this or for simply pulling an Eric Cartman and saying “Whatever, I do what I want”.
Words can't describe how great this cover is, or why you should check it out in the first place, find it below and enjoy.
