"These guidelines have been developed by LEIF to provide guidance, support and a point of reference to live entertainment venues, event promoters and service providers to reactivate live events in a COVID-Safe way."
Industry music LEIF (Live Entertainment Industry Forum) has today released its COVID-Safe guidelines for events.
The document is the work of the group - which includes Dion Brant (COO, Frontier Touring/Chugg Entertainment/AEG Presents), Evelyn Richardson (CEO, Live Performance Australia), Geoff Jones (CEO, TEG), Roger Field (CEO, Live Nation Australasia) and more - in consultation with government and health agencies.
The guidelines provide comprehensive guidelines around cleaning and sanitisation, crowd management, physical distancing plans, health monitoring and contact tracing.
"LEIF is committed to ensuring the passionate people of the industry have the safest, staged and most considered route back to full employment, which in turn, will deliver significant positive economic outcomes for the community through events which are integral features of healthy and connected communities," said LEIF chair James Sutherland.

Next week will see LEIF and partners EY present a study "to assess the economic contribution of the live entertainment industry in Australia" at the Event Summit in Sydney.
Taking place on 14 October, the summit will also see Jones and Field join Sutherland for a Q&A to discuss the study and what the return to live music events will look like.
