"We tried to be as creative and wacky as we possibly could."

WA muso Alex Towler has walked away from LEGO Masters season two with a share of $100,000.

The Perth singer-songwriter, who fronts local indie-rock outfit Lake James, was one half of LEGO Masters team Jackson and Alex, who were last night crowned the 2020 winners of the Channel 9 competition.

The duo’s winning creation was a Mad Scientist's Frankenfig, which took 28-hours to build.

"We tried to be as creative and wacky as we possibly could," Towler told Channel 9.

"I think we thought that we might not have been technically the best LEGO builders, but what we did have was some really fun ideas and some pretty out of the box concepts.

“I think we knew that if we stuck to those, that would be putting our strong foot forward. To be a little bit like wild cards and pull it off is pretty awesome."
