LCD Soundsystem Set For A 2016 Reunion

The New York Times is reporting that LCD Soundsystem are tipped to be coming out of retirement to headline this year's Coachella.

The US dance punk outfit, centred around New Jersey producer James Murphy, bowed out with a massive farewell concert at Madison Square Garden in 2011.

But new material appeared from LCD on Xmas Day, the Christmas Will Break Your Heart song no less, sparking rumours of a return to the live stage. 

The LCD rumour is one of two major reformations expected for this year's Coachella festival, set to take place April in California, alongside the already circulating Guns N' Roses rumour.

Neither Murphy nor representation for LCD or Coachella have responded to the rumours.
