Laura Jane Grace Thinks Slipknot's New Drummer Is A 'Shitbag'

Shots fired

More Against Me! Against Me!

The always-colourful Laura Jane Grace, frontwoman of angst-punk veterans Against Me!, has offered a blunt assessment of Slipknot's new drummer, taking to Twitter in the wee hours of this morning (AEST) to label their new skinsmith a "shitbag" (well, "#shitbag").

Perhaps this is due some context — there has been much speculation of late as to the identities of Slipknot's new members, a bassist and drummer, though by and large the internet seems fairly sure that the people taking up the respective, recently vacated posts are Architects guitar-tech Allessandro Ventruella and Jay Weinberg — who happens to have been Against Me!'s percussionist for a spell in 2011-12, as well as being the son of E Street Band and Conan O'Brien's drummer Max.

Just to make sure there could be no ambiguity over what she was talking about — and after admitting that she's "a five-year-old" when she first wakes up — Laura Jane then went on something of a ... well, you could call it a "spree", we guess.

So it's safe to say that they're not exactly on great terms, at any rate. However, Laura Jane was sure to clarify that she holds no ill will towards Slipknot in the wider sense. And, if nothing else, at least she had the impartiality to credit the man's playing skills.
