"By the end, you may think it’s more like ‘Moby Dickheads’," Colin Lane jokes.
Lano & Woodley’s new “whale of a show” has been touring across the country to a wealth of acclaim, and their national tour dates are far from over.
In the duo’s new outing, Moby Dick, they’ve “once again bitten off more than they can chew” with their “most ambitious show yet", but by all accounts, it’s one of the year’s best comedy offerings.
Would you expect any less when applying the iconic act’s love/hate relationship to one of the greatest stories ever told? Take their trademark comedy and add adventure, revenge, madness, religion and the fury and majesty of nature and you’ve got a winning formula.
"Col and I love creating theatrically ambitious Lano & Woodley shows. For the last eighteen months so we’ve been working on our newest effort - Moby Dick,” Woodley said.
“We’re using the classic tale of the demented Captain Ahab and his obsession with taking revenge on the whale that bit off his leg, as a springboard for Lano & Woodley to become entangled in their own crazy and hilarious conflict with each other. We can’t wait to smash a champagne bottle across its bow and launch the new show!" Frank Woodley said.
Colin Lane added: "We are going try and convince you the show should be called Moby Dick - by the end, you may think it’s more like ‘Moby Dickheads’. In the new show, an obsessed and maniacal captain tries desperately to maintain his dignity and achieve the ultimate revenge. It’s also a story about Moby Dick."
