Lane's debut full length Too The Horses peaked at 12 on the ARIA charts and landed her sold out tours and both APRA and ARIA Award nominations.
She said today, “It's a massive achievement to receive a gold record and it gives all the people involved a chance to acknowledge and reflect on their hard work. My bandmates, management, everyone involved in recording, mixing and mastering, Ivy League & Mushroom Group are all an integral part of everything I do… I also thank profusely all the people who bought the album. You are the ones who make it all worth it, I'm so thrilled you enjoyed it!”
Lane has spent the majority of this year writing songs for her second album and will record it later this year.
Rudd's latest record Follow The Sun also managed the feat as well last week.
